Statement
“My indulgence is in the space between life and art… The treasure hunt. The joy of the actual process. It’s the push/pull of colour, pattern, text & materials – energies dancing together… all the while, discovering how seemingly miscellaneous thoughts and objects come together to create a united whole, telling a story, or evoking emotion.
Working in acrylic, mixed media, found object and collage, my work varies in approach. At times the materials inspire ideas that are geographically or emotionally specific, while other works examine metaphorical thoughts, using abstract or expressionistic forms.
Through these layers of paint, text, and images I explore the core of our humanness, spirit, and connectedness, not only to the world around us, but each other.”
